Founded in 2008, The Institute Bar quickly became a home away from home for the anti-social socialites of the city.  Known for quirky events including the largest pumpkin beer festival in the area, The Institute grew a base of loyal and loving guests.  Times change and during the summer of 2017 the owners were struck with an idea to expand and re-energize the business.  The original Institute closed in December of 2018 in order to move in to a new space only one block away in a building the owners were sure would never become anything.  Newly incarnated, The Institute Craft Bar and Kitchen pays homage to the original location while taking on a more refined energy including a chef-inspired menu, a team of highly experienced bar tenders, and a crafted design that incorporates elements of the building it now resides in.
